Sesame Seed Powder

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sesame seeds
  • 3 teaspoons salt

Recipe

  • 1 place sesame seeds in a strainer and run water over the seeds, wetting them throughly.
  • 2 place in a cast iron pan over low heat. stir the seeds constanly to ensure even browning and plumping, about 4-5 minutes. do not burn the seeds.
  • 3 remove from stove and sprinkle with salt. pound, mash or blend the seeds until they turn into a fine powder.
  • 4 store in a glass jar.
