Sesame Rice

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup uncooked long grain rice
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups hot water

Recipe

  • 1 in a medium skillet, saute the sesame seeds in butter for 2-3 minutes or until golden. add rice, celery and onion; saute until rice is browned. spoon into a ungreased 3 quart baking dish. dissolve bouillon and salt in water pour over the rice mixture. cover and bake at 325 for 50 minutes or until rice is tender.
