Sesame Spinach

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 (12 ounce) packages frozen leaf spinach
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 medium onion, cut into rings
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Recipe

  • 1 cook spinach according to pkg. directions; do not overcook. combine soy sauce, vinegar and sugar. drain spinach and add onion rings; add soy sauce mixture and toss. chill for 1 hour, tossing frequently. serve in portions as a salad; garnish with toasted sesame seeds just before serving. note: to toast sesame seed, gently heat a 2-3 oz. box sesame seed in small skillet. stir frequently until each seed is toasted but not burned. press seed using the bottom of a water tumbler to extract oil and enhance flavor.
