Joe Froggers

Total Time: 28 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 8 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 7 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons ginger
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup water

Recipe

  • 1 cream sugar and shortening.
  • 2 put baking soda in molasses.
  • 3 sift dry ingredients.
  • 4 alternate dry ingredients, watter, molasses/soda.
  • 5 the dough will be sticky! chill for at least four hours.
  • 6 scoop out w/ small ice cream scoop. use a glass coated in sugar and water to flatten balls.
  • 7 bake 375 for 8-12 minutes.
