Sesame-grilled Snow Peas

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce (i always use lite)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated gingerroot
  • 1 lb snow peas
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds, toasted

Recipe

  • 1 whisk together first 6 ingredients in a small bowl until blended.
  • 2 place snow peas in a foil packet.
  • 3 pour rice vinegar mixture over snow peas; seal packet.
  • 4 grill over medium heat 7 to 10 minutes or until tender.
  • 5 sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds before serving.
  • 6 serve immediately.
  • 7 note: to quickly and easily toast sesame seeds, spread seeds in a single layer on a cookie sheet or jellyroll pan; place on grill or in a preheated 350 degree oven.
  • 8 stir once or twice while watching closely so they don't overbrown.
