Peppermint Ice Cream

Ingredients

• 1 quart milk
• 1 lb soft peppermint stick candy
• 2 cups half-and-half
• 2 cups whipping cream

Recipe

• 1 combine milk and candy; cover and refrigerate 12 hours. (candy will dissolve).
• 2 combine candy mixture, half and half, and whipping cream in freezer can of a 1 gallon ice cream freezer.
• 3 freeze according to manufacturer instructions.
• 4 let ripen at least 1 hour.
