Sage Dressing - Crock Pot

Total Time: 4 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 4 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 loaf stale bread, tore up into little pieces
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped into small pieces
  • 2 medium onions, diced
  • 1 teaspoon dry rubbed sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup real butter
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 5 medium eggs

Recipe

  • 1 in skillet or saucepan cook the veggies and seasonings with the butter until tender.
  • 2 add the chicken broth and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  • 3 pour over the torn bread and fold into the bread pieces.
