Sage Biscuits

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup oil or 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup minced fresh sage (or 1 t. dried powdered sage)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 475 degrees.
  • 2 sift flour, baking powder and salt into bowl.
  • 3 in another bowl, combine oil or butter, egg, milk and sage.
  • 4 make a little "well" in the dry ingredients and add the wet ingredients.
  • 5 combine with fork until just mixed.
  • 6 drop by spoonfuls on greased baking sheet or roll and cut into circles.
  • 7 bake 8-12 minutes until golden.
