Sesame Rice With Scallions

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1 1/2 cups sushi rice or 1 1/2 cups arborio rice, cooked in vegetable stock
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil
  • 4 scallions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 in small saute pan, heat the oil over medium heat.
  • 2 add sesame seeds and toast until golden. don't walk away, or they will burn.
  • 3 add the scallions, the sugar and salt.
  • 4 stir.
  • 5 combine with the cooked rice.
  • 6 at this point you could add any little servings of leftovers you might have in your fridge.
  • 7 i added some diced chicken tenders and green beans.
