Orangeade Ice Pops

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 oranges, zest of
  • 2 cups orange juice

Recipe

  • 1 in a small saucepan, combine sugar, water and orange zest.
  • 2 bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved; reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute.
  • 3 remove from heat and cover; set aside to steep for 5 minutes.
  • 4 strain through sieve into a large measuring cup.
  • 5 stir in orange juice.
  • 6 pour into molds and freeze until slushy, then insert sticks and freeze until solid, for at least 4 hours.
  • 7 if you are using an ice pop kit, follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
