Orangeade Ice Pops

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 oranges, zest of
- 2 cups orange juice
Recipe
- 1 in a small saucepan, combine sugar, water and orange zest.
- 2 bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved; reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute.
- 3 remove from heat and cover; set aside to steep for 5 minutes.
- 4 strain through sieve into a large measuring cup.
- 5 stir in orange juice.
- 6 pour into molds and freeze until slushy, then insert sticks and freeze until solid, for at least 4 hours.
- 7 if you are using an ice pop kit, follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
