- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- 4 small lemons
- 1 1/2 pints golden ground cherries
Recipe
- 1 combine the sugar and water, bring to a boil, and boil 8 to 10 minutes.
- 2 add the lemon and ground-cherries and cook 5 minutes, until the ground-cherries are just cooked through, about 12 minutes in all.
- 3 cool the syrup.
