Simmered Beans

ingredients

  • servings: 6
  • 1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup light
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

    preparation time: 10 mins cook time: 10 mins ready time: 20 mins

  • combine pinto beans, kidney beans, , jalapenos, garlic, cumin, and salt in a large saucepan. simmer for 10 minutes. serve warm or chilled.
