hot and sweet ginger drink

ingredients

  • servings: 4
  • 5 cups water
  • 1/4 cup sliced fresh ginger
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)

    preparation time: 5 mins cook time: 10 mins ready time: 15 mins

  • bring the water and ginger to a boil in a saucepan. reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 5 minutes. stir in the brown sugar and honey until the sugar has dissolved. strain out the ginger to serve.
