Lotus Root Kinpira

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • 1 ounce fresh lotus root
  • 1 teaspoon cooking oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon mirin
  • 1 teaspoon sake
  • 1 tablespoon water

Recipe

  • 1 peel the lotus root and cut in half lengthwise. slice into thin half rounds.
  • 2 soak in cold water. drain well.
  • 3 sauté the lotus root in the oil. add the other ingredients and cook for 2-3 minutes.
