Nadeya's Flan

Total Time: 1 hr 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 5 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees farenheit.
  • 2 set aside a 4 qt oven-safe dish. over medium high heat, melt 1 cup of granulated sugar in a metal pot.
  • 3 when it has become dark caramel brown and bubbly, pour into 4 qt dish.
  • 4 combine evaporated milk, condensed mil, eggs and vanilla and stir to combine well. if you whisk mixture, tap bowl on countertop to release any air bubbles.
  • 5 pour mixture into 4 qt dish over the caramel.
  • 6 place dish into a pan and pour boiling water into that pan until it comes halfway up the sides of the flan cooking dish.
  • 7 bake for 1 1/2 to 2 hours at 350 degrees, until set.
  • 8 cool on the countertop, then chill in the refrigerator.
