Lancaster County, Amish Cornmeal Mush

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 mix all ingredients together.
  • 2 bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • 3 cover& simmer 10-20 minutes (low heat).
  • 4 pour into a loaf pan.
  • 5 cool and then cut into thin pieces.
  • 6 fry till golden brown on both sides.
