Rutabagas

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 2 lbs rutabagas
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups water

Recipe

  • 1 carefully peel wax and skin from rutabagas.
  • 2 slice into 1/2 inch rounds.
  • 3 place stack of rounds on board and dice into 1/2 inch cubes.
  • 4 bring water, rutabagas, and salt to a boil.
  • 5 simmer gently 45 minutes to one hour.
  • 6 drain and serve in warmed covered dish.
