Peaches & Cream Gratin

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 8 ripe peaches
  • 4 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar

Recipe

  • 1 peel, slice and arrange peaches in a 6-cup baking dish (preferably an oval gratin dish), sprinkling with lemon juice as you go.
  • 2 whip cream; spread all over peaches.
  • 3 sprinkle with brown sugar by putting it through fine sieve.
  • 4 cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  • 5 just before serving, broil about 4" below heat for about 2 minutes or until crispy golden on top.
