Roode Krenten Conserf - Currant Preserves

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 quarts red currants
  • 1 1/2 lbs raisins
  • 4 large oranges
  • sugar

Recipe

  • 1 chop currants.
  • 2 grind raisins and oranges (with peel) and add to currants.
  • 3 weigh fruit and add an equal weight of sugar.
  • 4 cook until thick, stirring frequently to prevent scorching.
  • 5 fill jars and seal.
