Orange & Lime Ice-cream (no Eggs, No Ice-cream Maker)

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 orange
  • 2 limes
  • 175 g icing sugar
  • 600 ml double cream

Recipe

  • 1 grate the zest of the orange and limes, juice them and add to the sugar.
  • 2 stir to dissolve the sugar and add the cream.
  • 3 whip until soft peaks form (no longer or it could curdle) and pour into a shallow container with a lid.
  • 4 freeze for about 4 hours.
  • 5 this is great even when frozen for a much shorter period and still creamy.
  • 6 if frozen for a long period remove from freezer to soften for a while before eating.
  • 7 time doesn't include freezing time.
