Homemade Ice Cream

Total Time: 3 hrs Preparation Time: 2 hrs Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs (well beaten)
  • 3 3/4 cups sugar
  • 2 1/4 tablespoons vanilla
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 quarts half-and-half
  • 2 pints whipping cream
  • 3 cups 2% low-fat milk (2%)

Recipe

  • 1 combine sugar and eggs, adding one egg at a time beating well after each addition.
  • 2 once eggs and sugar are mixed and have become very stiff, add remaining ingrediants and mix throughly.
  • 3 pour into ice cream maker's freezer.
  • 4 freeze as directed.
