Never Fail Pie Crust Ii

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb shortening
  • 5 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 egg (medium)
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 cup water, cold

Recipe

  • 1 beat egg in measuring cup.
  • 2 add cold water to measure 1 cup.
  • 3 add 1 tbsp vinegar.
  • 4
  • 5 put dry ingredients in processor.
  • 6 add liquid, about 1/4 cup while processing til mixture forms a lump.
  • 7 let rest for 30 minutes or more. make pie crusts as usual.
  • 8 i usually roll out on plastic wrap.
