Grand Marnier Custard Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup light cream
- 2 tablespoons grand marnier or 2 tablespoons orange liqueur
Recipe
- 1 in a mixing bowl, beat together egg yolks, sugar and flour until light and lemon coloured.
- 2 in saucepan, heat milk with cream until bubbles form around edge of pan.
- 3 beat into yolk mixture.
- 4 transfer to saucepan, cook gently over low heat, stirring constantly, until custard has thickened.
- 5 stir in liqueur.
- 6 serve warm or cold.
