Grand Marnier Custard Sauce

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup light cream
  • 2 tablespoons grand marnier or 2 tablespoons orange liqueur

Recipe

  • 1 in a mixing bowl, beat together egg yolks, sugar and flour until light and lemon coloured.
  • 2 in saucepan, heat milk with cream until bubbles form around edge of pan.
  • 3 beat into yolk mixture.
  • 4 transfer to saucepan, cook gently over low heat, stirring constantly, until custard has thickened.
  • 5 stir in liqueur.
  • 6 serve warm or cold.
