Russian Teacakes

Total Time: 42 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 12 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup soft butter (margarine)
  • 3/4 cup sifted confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup chopped nuts (peanuts, cashews)

Recipe

  • 1 mix butter, sugar and vanilla thoroughly.
  • 2 blend flour and salt into butter mix.
  • 3 mix in the nuts; chill until firm.
  • 4 heat oven to 350 degrees f.
  • 5 roll mix into 1in. balls.
  • 6 place balls on ungreased cookie sheet; bake for 12 minutes.
  • 7 while warm, roll the cookies in conf. sugar. cool. roll in sugar again.
  • 8 eat! yum.
