Round Steak Supreme

Total Time: 3 hrs Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 2 hrs 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 -3 lbs round steaks (cut up into bite size pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons margarine or 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 whole bunch celery, chopped
  • 2 medium onions (diced)
  • 2 green peppers (diced)
  • 2 (4 1/2 ounce) cans mushroom pieces, drained (save liquid)
  • 4 (10 3/4 ounce) cans tomato soup
  • 1 (6 ounce) can pitted black olives (sliced)
  • 1 cup water
  • pepper

Recipe

  • 1 cut up round steak and brown with margarine in large pan.
  • 2 add celery, onion, green pepper and mushrooms (drained), cover and cook on medium until tender,about 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • 3 add tomato soup,water,sliced black olives,juice from mushrooms,pepper. stir well.
  • 4 simmer uncovered for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • 5 serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
