Russian Tea Cookies

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400.
  • 2 cream butter, sugar and almond extract.
  • 3 gradually stir in flour and salt.
  • 4 add nuts and stir until well blended.
  • 5 roll dough into teaspoon sized balls.
  • 6 place on greased cookie sheet.
  • 7 bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes, or until bottoms are light golden color.
  • 8 while still hot roll cookies in additional powdered sugar. i usually roll them at least 2 times.
