Russian Tea Cakes

Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 48
  • 1 cup margarine or 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup walnuts, finely chopped
  • powdered sugar

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 400°f.
  • 2 mix margarine, 1/2 c powdered sugar, and the vanilla.
  • 3 stir in flour, salt, and nuts.
  • 4 shape dough into 1-inch balls.
  • 5 place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 6 bake until set, but not brown, 8 to 9 minutes.
  • 7 roll in powdered sugar while warm; cool.
  • 8 roll in powdered sugar again.
