Rock Cakes

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 6 tablespoons margarine
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup currants or 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 egg
Recipe
- 1 heat oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit and lightly grease a baking sheet.
- 2 sift the dry ingredients into a bowl.
- 3 add margarine, rub in until like fine bread crumbs.
- 4 mix in fruit.
- 5 beat egg in a small bowl.
- 6 add beaten egg and enough milk to dry mixture to form a stiff dough.
- 7 place on cookie sheet in small rough piles.
- 8 bake for 10 to 15 minutes until light brown in color and firm to touch.
- 9 cool on wire rack.
