Self Crusting Cheesy Chicken Pie

Ingredients

- 2 cups cooked chicken, chopped
- 2 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
- 1 cup cooked carrot, sliced
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1 1/4 cups chicken broth
- 1/4 cup butter, soften
- 1 cup flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
Recipe
- 1 combine flour, baking powder, salt in bowl, set aside.
- 2 place chicken into a lightly greased 9x13-inch dish.
- 3 layer the sliced hard boiled eggs on top of chicken, then the carrots.
- 4 in a pan combine, broth and cream of chicken soup and cheese and poultry seasoning. bring this just to a boil then pour on top of chicken and eggs and carrots.
- 5 now, cut butter into the flour mixture, add milk. spoon over the chicken mixture. the dough will be lumpy somewhat.
- 6 bake at 425° for 30 minutes or till brown.
- 7 optional: 1 cup peas can be added to the chicken too.
