Sesame Asparagus With Garlic

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dark sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1 lb asparagus
  • sesame seeds (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 combine first 4 ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
  • 2 snap off tough ends of asparagus.
  • 3 place asparagus and 1/4 cup water in an 11 x 7 inch baking dish.
  • 4 microwave at high 3 minutes or until tender, drain, pour the vinegar mixture over asparagus, toss well.
  • 5 serve at room temperature or chilled.
  • 6 sprinkle with sesame seed, if desired.
