Romanian Baked White Fish

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 lbs any white fish fillets
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 1/4 cup parsley
  • 1/2 celery root, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons mushroom soup mix (or flour)
  • 1 cup white
  • 1 cup cooking water, from the fish
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese
  • 4 ounces sour cream
  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons chopped dill

Recipe

  • 1 to poach to fish, fill a large sauce pan with plenty of water with plenty of salt.

  • 10 gradually add the liquids while whisking constantly, and cook until slightly thickened.
  • 11 while stirring add the grated cheese, and the sour cream.
  • 12 remove from heat and add the dill.
  • 13 pour the sauce evenly over the fish.
  • 14 bake in oven at 350 until cheese is melted, and slightly browned, about 20 minutes.
