S.r.g Moist Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups sifted cake flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup margarine
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 cup sifted unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/3 cups water
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup condensed milk
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- frosting
- 2 cups evaporated milk
- 1 cup condensed milk
- 1/2 cup sifted unsweetened cocoa powder
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons butter
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°f line two 9-inch round pans.
- 2 1. mix 1 1/3 cups water, 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder and vanilla. set aside.
- 3 2. cream margarine and sugar until fluffy. add eggs one at a time until creamy. add the dry ingredients alternately with the cocoa mixture until well blended. pour in prepared pans and bake for 30 minutes or until done. let cool.
- 4 filling: combine all ingredients in a double boiler and cook until thick.
- 5 frosting: in a heavy bottom saucepan mix together all ingredients for the frosting except butter. cook until thick; stir in butter.
- 6 to assemble: fill layers of cake with filling. ice decoratively with frosting.
