Sabine's Farina Dumplings

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2-1 teaspoon salt, i didn't measure
  • 1/2-1 teaspoon nutmeg, i didn't measure
  • 1/2-1 cup cream of wheat, i didn't measure. add enough to get a soft dough

Recipe

  • 1 melt one stick of butter.
  • 2 once butter has cooled, mix in two eggs.
  • 3 add salt and nutmeg to taste.
  • 4 add enough cream of wheat to make a soft dough.
  • 5 let rest for 5 minutes.
  • 6 bring a large stock pot of water to boil.
  • 7 fluff dough. make golf ball size pieces and gently drop in to boiling water.
  • 8 let boil for 10 minutes, uncovered.
  • 9 take off of heat, cover with lid and let rest for 30 minutes.
  • 10 do not peek or your dumplings won't rise.
  • 11 eat with beef or chicken broth.
