Round Steak With Herbs

Total Time: 6 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 6 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 lbs beef round steak, cut 3/4 " thick
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 (10 1/4 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Recipe

  • 1 trim fat from meat.
  • 2 cut steak into serving size portions.
  • 3 place onion in a 3 1/2 or 4 quart slow cooker.
  • 4 place meat on top of onion.
  • 5 in a small bowl combine soup, oregano, thyme, and pepper.
  • 6 pour over meat.
  • 7 cover and cook on low heat setting for 10 to 12 hours or on high heat setting for 5 to 6 hours.
  • 8 if desired, serve with hot cooked pasta.
