Sequilhos De Coco(coconut And Cornstarch Cookies)

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 9
  • 4 cups cornstarch
  • 2 ounces freshly grated coconut
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 1/2 cups margarine

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375° f.
  • 2 sift together cornstarch and sugar.
  • 3 add coconut, salt, egg and margarine.
  • 4 mix with your fingertips to form a dough ball.
  • 5 roll dough into 2-inch cylinder.
  • 6 cut into 1 inch slices to form cookies.
  • 7 place cookies on greased cookie sheet.
  • 8 use the tines of a fork to make grooves on the top of the cookies.
  • 9 bake for 15 minutes.
  • 10 let cool completely and keep in a tightly closed tin.
