Helene D'esterhazy's Baked Vidalia Onions

Ingredients
- 4 medium vidalia onions
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350.
- 2 slice off the bottom and top of the onion, but do not peel.
- 3 place in an oiled baking pan and brush them with oil.
- 4 sprinkle with salt.
- 5 cover with parchment paper and bake for 30 minutes.
- 6 remove the paper and sprinkle each onion with balsamic vinegar.
- 7 return to the oven for another 30 minutes.
- 8 remove the outer peel of the onion and serve hot.
