Ingredients

- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (1/2 a stick)
- 1 onion, minced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 cups whole milk
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. add diced onions and garlic and cook until onions are translucent, 7-10 minutes.
- 2 put in the grand beef and break into pieces with spoon or spatula. cook until browned and no longer pink.
- 3 sprinkle in the flour and cook 2 or 3 minutes. whisk or stir in the worcestershire, beef broth, and milk slowly. bring to boil and reduce heat to medium.
- 4 allow to simmer until desired thickness, 15 to 30 minutes depending on how thick you want it.
- 5 taste for seasoning and add pepper and salt to suit your taste. serve over toast.
